Well, I caved. I joined Facebook.
Ian and I held hands and joined together. I already think I may be addicted. I hope it wears off. Ian keeps checking in with me to make sure I am not on it. Yes, sweetie, I am actually doing real work today!!!

Woot woot! New computer!!

I have not posted in forever, mainly due to the fact that I completely filled up our computer's memory. I have not been able to take pics or do ANYTHING! So, now we have this very nice new rockin' computer and I am back in business. Here are some snapshots I have been waiting to download from Ian's Christmas party. I know everyone heard how fun it was - now here are some pics! The theme was "The Oscars". It was so neat, everyone came in their best dresses. This is me with Jennifer Anniston and Johnny Depp (aka Ian). Ian and I decided to go with the "vintage" look. I was just his date, no one important. Others present were Brangelina, Natalie Portman, TomKat, Whoopi. We all agreed this was one of the best office parties they have had. Can't wait to see what the theme will be next year! Hey Ian - get your hand off Jennifer!!!

Fun at Clemson

Well, I have been waiting to post this picture because it is actually going to be a present for my sister for her birthday. But, I have not posted any pictures in a few days so I felt I needed to. Hopefully she will not see it before I get it framed and deliver it:)
My friend and I went out to take some night shots of Tillman Hall, all lit up for Christmas. We got some really great shots, but my favorite one was this one I took while waiting for the sun to go down. I love the angle I got and the colors really pop.
My sister was an education major so all her classes were in Tillman Hall. I thought that would be neat for her. And, she just loves Clemson. So, here it is! Sheri, don't look!

Now that's COLD!
We woke up this morning with absolutely nothing to do. So, we drove to Highlands, NC! We bundled up, but not enough. It was 18 degrees there and snow on the ground! We knew it was going to be cold but we had no idea how cold it would really feel. Our faces were frozen and I think I only took five pictures. We walked around Main St and ate at "The Pizza Place" where we continued freeze our patooties off every time someone opened the door. The pizza was SUPER by the way. I highly recommend it. All in all, it was a beautiful day and a fun time. The kids got to see snow, and we did not sit around the house all day. It could not have been better, oh wait, a few degrees warmer would have been nice :)

Happy New Year!!
I don't know how everyone else rang in the New Year, but we had a great time. We had "Cousin's Party" at our house. Jack and Kate came over and we played, ate, shot fireworks and had a Star Wars Marathon. Jack outlasted all the kids, falling asleep after 11:00. The best part is they all slept until 8 am! It was a great time.
I sit here thinking about what I would like to do in the new year. So, all those who read this can encourage me please!
• Save more, spend less
• Get in shape (yes, we just joined Gold's Gym)
• Get my house in order (that is a huge task)
• Crochet more
• Become a better photographer
• Not yell as much, try to be a yes mom.
• Make more extra money for the family thru my graphic design
Is this too many goals, or not enough? I don't know, but I think I can do it. Reminders and encouraging words are much appreciated :)
Happy New Year Everyone!!

Four Christmases, Make that Five
Well, I just got all of our decorations put away and I am thinking back to what a wonderful holiday we had this year. I really can't believe how busy we were. It really is unbelievable, all that we did in one short day. I will give you a rundown....
It all started at 12:30 am Christmas morning when Evelyn genuinely thought it was morning. We were woken up very sweetly, but had to tell her to go back to bed. Ian spent the next 30 minutes comforting her because she was so upset that she did that. She is so tenderhearted. Well, we were able to sleep until 6:30 am.
Start - Christmas 1. The kids got their gifts from Santa and we opened our gifts as a family. It was wonderful.
Start - Christmas 2. We arrived at Ian's Grandmother's house for brunch at 10:00 am for the big Ruff Christmas. There was a very nice mimosa waiting there for me. Mmmm. We exchanged gifts between all the Great Grandkids and then did the adult gift exchange. Very much fun. We actually did not bring the lemon gifts this year! We headed back to Ian's mom's house around 1:00.
Start - Christmas 3. Back at Kim's house, we exchanged gifts between Mama, Ian's sister and her family, and us. It was lots of fun. Mama got a new TV so after that was set up, we got to play the new Wii that Mama got from Santa. She must have been very good this year. Then, the boys had to fry a turkey for Christmas number 4.
Start - Christmas 4. At 4:00 we had to drive to Irmo to arrive at 5:00 for the Boyd family Christmas. This is when the kids finally conked out in the car for a nice hour nap. We had a delicious dinner, and dessert. The kids played themselves silly and the adults had a gift exchange. We left Irmo and headed back to Saluda, arriving at 10pm. Oh what a day.
Sunday marked the start of Christmas 5 in which we celebrated with my family at our house. We had lots of fun with the cousins playing. It was Durham's first Christmas, although he slept thru most of it. I don't blame him. If I was only 2 weeks old, I would be sleeping too.
Next year, we are staying at home.
